HudsonValley.pm (or HV.pm) is the Hudson Valley, New York, area chapter of the group Perl /M([ou]nger|aniac)s/, an informal organization of interested Perl programmers, users, readers, writers, hackers, mungers, manglers, and even a few innocent bystanders.

The purpose of the group is to provide interested parties the chance to get together once in a while, and enjoy some good food and/or drink. If the conversation turns around to Perl topics, as it inevitably will, that's fine.

The U.S. Department of Defense has determined that this mixture of opinion, technical expertise, personalities, food and/or alcohol did NOT produce a containable and/or controllable substance that further study could incorporate into the next generation of cruise missile.

In other words: Perl Programmers have too much fun!

Future expansion of this web site may include: a script repository, perl training, book reviews, beer reviews, quick hacks, personal bios, etc. content will be voted on by the membership. suggestions are more than welcome.

The Hudson Valley chapter of Perl Mongers was created by Arthur Ramos Jr. on June 10th, 1999.
